Mark Anthony's Story
Well I wasn't really sure what I was going to do after graduating, but on my way done the aisle from accepting my diploma. I decide to do what I've always loved to do and that was cook. If some of you don't remember, I won the famous Bresee's Bake-Off contest while a senior. Well two weeks after graduating, I start a two Culinary Arts Program at Cornell University. What a great time that was, which brought me to NYC, but ultimately brought me back to Oneonta to work at the Fiesta Restaurant and the Oneonta Country Club. I moved on from there to the Otesaga Hotel for the summers and the Executive Chef asked me to work at Indian Creek Country Club in N.Miami Beach, FL. After a couple years doing the Snowbird thing, I moved to Rochester, NY and got married. I worked several more restaurants (HMS Bounty, Mario's, The Royal Scot, Milo's, Stouffers Hote...Expand for more
ls and Aramark at Paychex,Inc.) Well thirty years later, I decided to change careers and work for the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administation. I work out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport as a Travel Protocol Liaison and if you get a chance to come through Washington; you might get to see me doing a check on your carry-on luggage. The events during 9/11, hit too close to home and felt the need to do what I could for the safety of our traveling public. Its been great traveling down the road and see where things have brought me and I've brought myself back a few years, by getting my Stang back; I miss my '69 Stang, but my '04 brings back many memories. I now can just sit back and enjoy life even more, watching my kids grow and become young adults and I can cruise around in my Stang with the top down.
